Christmas 2010

We had a wonderful blessed Christmas this year! The kids were spoiled rotten (as expected). We spent lots of time with family. Christmas Eve we went to my sister's house. She had it decorated beautifully with lots of wonderful food!

The kids got new jammies for Christmas. I think it will be a new tradition. I started the tradition of opening one gift up Christmas Eve (since Aaron and I have been together) and I think that would make a great gift. Let the kids open their Christmas jammies.

Christmas Eve we set out milk and cookies for Santa and a carrot for Rudolph. Earlier when I asked Aiden what he was going to set out for Santa he said, "Not cookies, mommy. I set out a sandwich for Santa." Cracked me up! I had explained to him that Santa had to visit ALL the boys and girls and he would be hungry when he got to our house. Apparantely he thought cookies wouldn't be enough. However when it came down to setting something out he did choose the cookies.

Christmas morning was perfect. A classic Christmas. We woke up to Aiden running up the stairs into our bedroom, flipping on the light, jumping into our bed and saying, "Wake up! Wake up! Its Christmas!" It was great! We ran down stairs to see if Santa had come. He was so excited! We had to wake Miley up and she wasn't thrilled, but shortly after presents she went back to bed!

Later Christmas afternoon we went to my parents house and opened gifts with them. They not only spoiled the kids, but spoiled all of us! I even got my sewing machine I had asked for!

I am realizing more and more every day how truly blessed we are to have such a wonderful loving family. Our family is all together, healthy and happy. My children are wonderful and LOVED more than they can imagine! We truly are living our fantasy!
I hope each and everyone of you had a very blessed and WONDERFUL Christmas this year. We wish a blessed New Year! Have fun and be safe!!

Christmas Tree 2010

We went out today to pick out our Christmas tree. Luckily it didn't take us very long at all. We had it picked out in less than 15 minutes. Aiden got up in the front seat with daddy and mommy to help look through the trees as we drove down the lanes. It was so much fun listening to him and seeing him point out the trees.
Miley was fast asleep in the backseat and stayed sleeping the entire time. I was hoping to get both the kids out by the tree, but didn't think I should waker her up.

While Daddy was cutting the tree down, Aiden was watching with his hands over his ears. He thought the chainsaw was too loud! He thought it was pretty cool though when the tree fell over!

We came home and Aiden was all excited to help me decorate it. He went through all my ornaments looking for a Santa Clause.
He put a few on the tree (all at the bottom and in one little area) and then he was bored with it.
Mommy finished the rest of the tree. Once daddy came in, him and Aiden hung up the Star on the tree. It was great!
It is officially Christmas at the Boyd home. I'm hoping to run to town tomorrow to get a few more lights for the bottom of the tree and for some more decor outside.

Hope everyone is getting into the Christmas spirit! Now all we need is some snow!!

Merry Christmas everyone!

Halloween Pictures

We had some pics taken of the kiddos in their costumes and they turned out SO great! We didn't take any pics trick or treating...too busy! But here are a few pics of the kids.

We dressed Aiden as a deer hunter. Camo paint for his face, a toy gun that makes cool noises and has toy shot gun shells, and rattling horns...not to mention the awesome new camo outfit. He just loved it!

Miley was a "skunk". I have a friend that makes homemade tutus and hair pieces. She designed a halloween line this year. When I found the costume I fell in love with it. Doesn't she just look adorable?!

FAMILY PICTURES

As our family is growing, my mom and sisters had been talking about getting together to have our family pictures taken. After losing my grandparents recently, we knew that we wanted to have the pictures taken in their barn.
The only time that would work was an evening after 5pm. We were going to run out of daylight if we didn't get them scheduled soon. Luckily we were able to squeeze the pics in before the time change.
The photographer that we chose, ANDREA ORTIZ of After the Stork Photography captured the GREATEST pictures! She did an amazing job and we are SO thankful.

We all had individual family pictures taken, as well as a large family one.

Here is just a preview!!

What a Weekend!

Had a great weekend! My sister, Jess, my mom and I went to the Matthew West and Josh Wilson concert at the Christian Family Center in Adrian. It was a blast! Amazing Worship!

Sunday we took the kids to get their pics taken in their Halloween costumes. They both looked adorable. I took a few pictures at the house before we left. I cannot wait to post the professional pics of them. Here is a quick preview of them. Aiden is dressed up as a "Hunter" this year. I didn't get a picture of him with his face paint on, so you will have to wait to see that. He just loves his gun. It makes real shooting noises and everything. Oh and we through in some rattling horns too!

Miss Miley was a skunk. A friend of mine makes tutus and hairbows and she had a halloween line this year. The name of her business is Two Tutu Ladies. Isn't Miley just adorable!!

Here are just a few random new pics of Miss Miley and Aiders. I can't believe how quickly she is growing! Before you know it she'll be turning one and Aiden will be 3...YIKES!
